James Brian Pickett was born to Glenn Arvil Pickett and Marguerite Ann Nelson. He was raised and went to school in Idaho Falls. Jim was never married. At the time of his death he was a painting contractor. He died as a result of a car wreck.

James Picket, 24, of 675 10 St., Idaho Falls, died Wednesday (20 Aug 1975) evening at an Idaho Falls (Idaho)Hospital after being injured early Wednesday morning on U.S. 20 near the County Line Rd.
Idaho Falls Hospital officials said Picket died shortly after 9 p.m. at the facility. He had stopped breathing while being taken to the hospital but was revived by paramedics and had been listed in critical condition during the day. Another person in the vehicle, Jerry Ray Griffeth, 33, of the same address, was listed by the hospital in critical condition with compound fractures of both legs and a fractured pelvis.
Idaho State Police said the pickup was destroyed. They also indicated it had rolled over ejecting both men from the vehicle about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday.
