Fred Vetter, 77, life long resident of the county, died last night at his home in Valders where he had resided for 14 years. He had been in failing health for a month and this week was strcken with a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 1:30 p.m. from the Grace Lutheran church, Valders. Burial will be in Liberty cemetery.
Mr. Vetter was born in Liberty and when a young man operated a cheese factory in the town of Manitowoc Rapids. Later he took up farming and owned farms in Cato and Liberty. In 1925 he sold his farm and retired in Valders. He married Miss Sophia Bremmer in 1883
Survivors are the widow; four sons, Louis and Freed, Jr., both of Valders, Henry, Manitowoc Rapids, Hugo, Cato; and 14 grandchildren. Three children preceded hom in death
The body will be moved to the home from the Berge undertaking parlors, Valders, Thursday afternoon.
