Dr. A. M. Bowker, a graduate of Berkshire Medical College, and for many years a responsible physician and citizen of Savoy, recently met a sad fate. He visited his brother-in-law, Barnum Perry of Westfield, five or six weeks ago, and declining an offer of a ride, set out on foot for the Russell depot to take the cars for home. This was the last heard from him (although search was made and a reward offered for his discovery) until the the 18th inst. , when his body was found in a small stream east of the Huntington depot. Circumstances indicate that he fell through the bridge and was killed by striking his head on a stone, after which the body floated to the place where it was found, and where it had been noticed for some days but had been mistaken for a drift log. Mr. Bowker was 42 years old and leaves a wife and four children. He had exhibited insanity several times within the past six months.
