Susanna Ruth Hanway, 87, Lincoln, died Thursday (9/23/04), in Lincoln. Born, Hooper (11/6/16), to John and Louise (Kreie) Edelmaier. Graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933 and attended the University of Nebraska. Married Leland S. Pennington on May 9, 1941. They move to Columbus in 1958, and she remained there until 1997. Leland died July 15, 1994. On April 10, 1999, she married Donald G. Hanway, a fellow resident at The Legacy in Lincoln. Survivors: husband, Donald; brother, John Edelmaier, Lincoln; sister, Clara Ryan, Mount Pleasant, Iowa; stepsons, Donald G. Hanway Jr., Lincoln; Wayne E. Hanway, McAlester, Okla.; stedaughter, Janice Jimenex, Cypress, Calif.; seven stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews.
