Marie is the oldest daughter of Joe & Jennie Steppick. She was a lifelong resident of Texas. Mrs. Ashley worked at Monnigs Department Store in the health food department for 30 years and then retired.
Marie Steppick Ashley, 81, died Monday in Springtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ashley, in 1976.
Survivors: Son, Ted Ashley of Dallas; two daughters, Colleen Storey of Springtown and Shirley White of Burleson; sister, Vircle Conley of Mesquite; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service: 3 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
