Mr and Mrs John W Stull, daughters, Mrs Hirste G Carson and Miss Nancy Stull; Mrs J E McCulloch and Mr and Mrs John Stull, Jr., attended the funeral services on Thursday afternoon, of Mrs J W Stulls brother in law, Dr S R Pritchard, at Blacksburg, whose sudden death occurred Monday morning on the college campus. Dr Pritchard was professor of electrical engineering at V P I. Edward McCulloch, of Buchanan, a member of Dr Pritchard's class, was an active pallbearer.

Col D Wyatt Aiken married 2nd Virginia Carolina Smith, daughter of Joel Smith, at Stony Point on Jan 27, 1857 and the had 11 children:

One of their children, Mary Aiken married Samuel Reynolds Pritchard, June 20, 1895. Dr Pritchard, a graduate of South Carolina College (now University of South Carolina), was Professor of Mathematics at Wofford for a time and then Professor of Electrical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and later Dean of Engineering in V.P.I. Dr Pritchard and his wife had 3 children:
1 – Dr Claude Hornsby Pritchard married Katherine Ellison, 2 children.
2 – Virginia Aiken Pritchard married Rev Howard McKnight Wilson, 4 children.
3 – Samuel Reynolds Pritchard Jr married Margueritte Mitchell
