Chester Martin Rasmussen, 67, Milton, died Thursday night, Apr. 4, in Mercy hospital, Janesville, where he had been a patient ten days.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Seventh-day Adventist church, Milton Junction, Elder Leonard F. Abelson officiating and being assisted by Albert G. Johnson. Mrs. Edward Rood presided at the piano and Mrs. Robert Steele sang 'The Love of God' and 'Near to the Heart of God.' Burial was in Milton cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl F. Anderson, Elmer E. Anderson, William Antisdel, Arthur G. Haughey, William Heinig and Harley Shadel. Mmes Arthur Haughey, William Antisdel and Harley Shadel had charge of the flowers.

The son of Christian and Martha Sorbye Rasmussen, he was born in Union Grove, Wis., August 12, 1889. He was in his teens when the family moved to Milton. On May 19, 1915, he married Vesta Kier in Viborg, SD.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Sherrill Kier of Milton Junction, Mrs. Warren Davis of Green Bay, and Chester Murray of Chicago; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gordon, Hillsboro, Wash., and LeRoy, Milton Junction; four sisters, Mrs. C. B. Olson, West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Jesse Saunders, Milton, and the Misses Irene and Annette Rasmussen, Janesville.
