Chicago Tribune, 21 May 1982. Fred C. Oehme. May 20, age 70, late of Homewood, son of the late Fred Oehme and Frances Oehme Johnson; brother of the late Carolyn H. Oehme. Member of the Western Union Retired Employees Assn. Resting at the Tews Funeral Home, 10230 Dixie Hwy., Homewood, from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

Chicago Tribune, 22 May 1982. Services for Fred C. Oehme, 72, a retired maintenance technician for the Western Union Corp., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at 18230 Dixie Hwy., Homewood. Mr. Oehme died Thursday in a Homewood health care center. He had worked for Western Union for 48 years. There are no immediate survivors.
