Novia Marie Cole Preece
MASON, W.Va. - Novia Marie Cole Preece, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Mason, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2005.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Rutland Church of God. She was an accomplished florist and business owner. She did extensive volunteer work in both the church and community.
She was born March 6, 1927, in Gradyville, Ky., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Beulah Cole.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence C. Cole, Renis Cole and Delbert Cole.
She is survived by her husband, Homer Preece of Mason; two daughters, Deanna (Tommy) Crum of Delbarton, W.Va., and Lana Kersey of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; a son, Homer Keith (Elaine) Preece of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren, Phillip D. (Stephenie) Swisher of Pittsburgh, Pa., Cheryl NiCole (John) Meadows of Greensboro, N.C., Eric D. Swisher of Pittsburgh, Alicia DeAnna (Adam) Persinger of Point Pleasant and Curtis Cole Crum of Delbarton.
She will be sadly missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Rutland Church of God in Rutland, Ohio, with Pastors Mitchell Bias and Ron Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Lakin, W.Va.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant and noon-1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Rutland Church of God.
