Margot had 6 brothers and sisters, Beate Kokalkowski (half sister)

and Helga, Frieldhelm, Hans, Wolf Dieter and Sigismund "Pete" Schneider. Only Wolf Dieter is still living. She had seven children three still living.

Margot and her daughter Luella came from Germany to the United states on or about 21 Jan 1948. The original plane that they were suppose to be on crashed with no survivors. Something was wrong with Luella's papers and by that alone Margot and Luella were spared that tragic fate. The story also is that Margot's husband to be and father of Luella was waiting at LaGuardia Airport in New York when he and others waiting for the original flight were told of the crash. For some time Harold believed that his future wife and child had perished in that flight.
