He had one daughter, Abelmira during his short marriage to his first wife, Irene Velasquez and son , Jimmy Aleman with Manuela Gonzalez. Tony joined the USMC in 1943 during WWII, fought in Guam, Okinawa and Iwo-Jima. He was wounded in Iwo-Jima in March 1945, returning home with a pruple heart medal and an' Honorable Discharge'''Semper Fi'. Tony courted and married 'Minnie' on December 31, 1942 and they had seven sons. After suffering the loss of their son, Johnny, in an accident, Tony decided to move his family to California 'for a better way of life' in 1964. He found employment and soon they were proud owners of their first home. Tony and Minnie loved their life in Santa Ana, Ca., especially spending time with family and friends. Music and dancing were a favorite past time for them. At the age of 61, Minnie passed away and Tony was left alone to struggle with his loss. He and Lou found comfort with each other after their loss of both partners, they married April 1985 and in 1990 decided to move back to Corpus Christi, Texas to enjoy their 'Golden Years' dancing and socializing with their many dear friends. Tony and Lou were known as the first couple on the dance floor and the last couple off. Tony would often say 'enjoy life and dance while you can'.
