Harold F. Schnell, age 93, of rural Manitowoc, died on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc with his loving family at his side.
Harold was born on August 10, 1922 in the town of Liberty, son of the late Edwin and Agnes (Hecker) Schnell.
He was educated at Webster & Trinity Lutheran Schools.
On September 1, 1945 Harold married the former Alice L. Bruckschen in the town of Newton. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2012.
He farmed in the town of Liberty and later worked in the sale and repair of autos. Harold was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and former 4H Leader.
Survivors include his three children: Fred (Darlene) Schnell, rural Manitowoc; Marilyn (Mike) Kaufmann, rural Manitowoc; Sharon (Bill) Johnson, rural Berlin; six grandchildren:: Corleen (Gerard) Heidgerken, Milwaukee; Rebecca (Dan) Kyle, Durante, CA; Nic (Megan) Kaufmann, Green Bay; Matthew Kaufmann, rural Manitowoc; Shawn (Tiffany) Williamson, Appleton; Aaron Williamson, Fox Lake, IL; six great-grandchildren: Ryan Heidgerken; Trillium and Ryker Kyle; Elijah and Emmit Kaufmann; Aidan Williamson; one sister and brother-in-law: Jeannette (Willie) Hochkammer, Newton; one sister-in-law: Doris Bruchschen, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edwin and Agnes Schnell; his loving wife: Alice Schnell; one brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth (Ruth) Schnell; one brother-in-law: Elroy Bruckschen; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Mildred Bruckschen; Harold (Anita) Fehrmann.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 11303 Wehausen Road, Manitowoc. Rev. Gregory Pope will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
