Karen Louise Eckstein, 55, of Caldwell Drive, Osceola, Ind., passed away on Thursday, July 19, in the St. Joseph Hospice House, South Bend, Ind.
Karen was born on Dec. 15, 1945, in Mishawaka to Clarence J. and Helen L. (Glesmer) Klein. Both have preceded her in death.
Karen is survived by her sisters and brothers, Barbara (Ben) Davis, Charles (Shirley) Klein, Michael Klein, Suzanne Klein, Christopher (Mary) Klein, and Patrick Klein; her fiance, Jim Foote; her nices and nephews, Timothy, Randall, Jeffrey (Anita) and Gregory Davis, Mark (Mary) and Brian (Pamela) Klein, Rachel Rector, Sarah Keene, Jeff (Heather) Meixel, Jill (Jeff) Moser, Jamie (Patrick) Torma; and 12 great-nieces and 7 great-nephews.
Karen graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1965. And was employed by Lexington Sheeting in the research and development.
Pastor Adolf Lacy will be officiating the funeral services today, July 21, at 10 a.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Hospice House.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude and thanks to Janice Meixel, Karen's sister-in-law, and Carol Noffsinger, Karen's neighbor, for their help in caring for Karen during her illness.
