Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Thomas Bartram and Fannie Mae Bartram Floyd.
Mr. Bartram served in the U.S. Navy and was the owner of B & B Electric. He was an avid golfer and of the Baptist Faith.
Doug is survived by his daughter, Kimberly B. Bayne (Danny); and two sons, Charles D. Bartram, Jr. (Amity) and Joseph M. Bartram, all of Greenville; a sister, Nan Cowart of Melbourne, FL; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Corey Bartram; two sisters, Mary Mixon, and Judy Craparotta; and three brothers, Thomas, David, and Jack Bartram.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Berea First Baptist Church, with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, West.
