CATHERINE ELIZABETH GAY
A rosary for longtime Sacramento resident Catherine Elizabeth Gay will be recited at 7 pm Tuesday in Andrews and Grelich.
Mrs. Gay, 73, died Friday in a local hospital. She was a native of North Dakota and lived in Sacramento since 1932.
She was a homemaker who also worked for 10 years for the Sacramento Bee and about eight years for the Franchise Tax Board.
She is survived by her stepfather; Joseph P. Martin of Sacramento; daughters, Patricia C. Martin of Sacramento and Charlotte Rose of Eureka; sons, James R. Hicks of Eureka; Gene A. Hicks of Folsom; brothers, William, Albert and Robert Martin, all of Sacramento; sisters, Mary Eckerman of Shingle Springs, Elizabeth Morris of Orangevale, Helen Thorpe of Stockton, and Margaret Pricer and Barbara Gunst both of Sacramento; and nine grandchildren
