Quentin was born on August 9, 1919 in Kandiyohi County in Minnesota to Wihelmina (Anderson) and G. Henry Bangtson.

He died Friday morning, July 15, 2011 at North Ridge Care Center, New Hope, Minnesota where he was receiving care for the past few weeks.

He married Joyce Carlson on June 21, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Quentin served in the Army during WWII beginning December 16, 1942 and served for three years and 10 days, arriving home in December, 1945. With an honorable discharge he received the Combat Infantryman's Badge for Valor; the Good Conduct Medal; the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with two battle stars; and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.

He worked for Insulation Sales Company as a supervisor in cold storage and insulation. He was a member of Mills Church in Minnetonka, serving as a Deacon.

Quentin and Joyce enjoyed wintering at King's Gate in Nokomis, Florida where Quentin enjoyed his fruit trees and cooking for his many friends there.

Quentin was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 1995, his parents, and four siblings.

He is survived by his children; William and his wife Linda, of LaCrescent, Robert and his wife Cathy, of Goodhue, Becky Brzinski and her husband John, of Clearwater, Barbara McKie, husband Tom. of St. Paul.

Grandchildren; William Bangtson, Jr. and wife Beth, Brian Bangtson and wife Rhonda, Justin Bangtson and wife Alicia, Emily Staples and husband Jamie, Jacob Bangtson and wife Kari, Tobb Brzinski, Brianna Brzinski, Jonalyn Brzinski, Kayli Brzinski and eight Great-Children,
