Richard "Dick" Alm Anderson, Sr. died at his home in Waite Park, Minnesota, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the age of 83.

He was born on December 24, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George Dewey and Alice Mabella Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons Jonathan (Susan) of Tulsa, OK, Joel (Kimberly) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Daniel of Maple Grove, Ben (Miranda) of Blaine, Peter of Waite Park, and Richard (Justine) of St. Cloud; sister Audrey (Carl) Gardner of Mesa AZ; sister-in-law June Anderson of Mora; mother-in-law Lois Halverson of Minneapolis, MN; brothers-in-law Steve (Mary) Halverson of Moundsview, Jon (Judy) Halverson of Dearborn, MI, James Halverson of Minneapolis, Timothy (Jill) Halverson of Duluth; sister-in-law Martha (Steve) Reishus of Monticello, MN.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, children David, Christopher, Aaron and Elizabeth, and brother George Dewey Anderson.
