Jean L. (Avery) Heckler, 64, of 400 Brewster St., Coventry, wife of Lucien Heckler, died Saturday (Dec 15) at Windham Community Hospital in Willimantic. She was born in Stafford Springs, May 5, 1926 and had been a resident of Coventry for the past 41 years. Mrs. Heckler was a member of St. George Episcopal Church in Bolton. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark A. Heckler of Mansfield; and a daughter, Lorrie J. Ruff of Scotland; a sister, Verna Daggett of Storrs. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., in St. George Episcopal Church, Route 44A, Bolton. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery in Coventry. Friends may call at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester on Monday from 7-9 p.m.
