Coleman, George R. "Bob" age 87, of Minneapolis on July 30, 2011. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Leone; 2 sons, Tom and Gary; brother, Floyd. Survived by 7 children; Jim (Jan), Dan (Loni), Dave (Kathy), Carol (Vincent), Bob (Kerrie), Jerry and Rick (Kathy); 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Kenny and Bill; extended family member Betty. Also survived by many other family and friends. Bob was born in St. James, Minnesota on June 6, 1924 and moved to Minneapolis as a young boy. He served with the US Army 8th Air Force as S/Sgt during WWII and spent 17 months as a P.O.W. in Stalag 17 after his plane was shot down over Germany. After the War he moved back to Minneapolis and worked at Northwest Automatic Products as a machinist, before starting his own company, Coleman Industries, in South Minneapolis. Visitation 6-8 pm Tuesday at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel (5801 Lyndale Ave. South). Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Church of the Incarnation (3817 Pleasant Ave). Visitation continues 1 hour prior to Mass at Church on Wednesday. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American Red Cross. www.GillBrothers.com Minneapolis
