Miss Nellie Akester Passes Away Miss Nellie Akester, 70, former resident of Mitchell, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Central State Hospital in Lakeland, Kentucky. Miss Akester was brn in Lawrence County, Nov. 21, 1893 to Edward and Ada Golden Akester. Surviving are one brother, Robert and three cousins, Mrs. Hazel Ross of Seymour, Mrs. Blanch Walker of Mitchell and Mrs. Ethel Walker of McLean, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with Rev. McGowan officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of the Chastain Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell after 6 p.m. today.
