Mrs. James G. Hendryx passed away at her home, 901 West 11th street at 5 a.m. Sunday after a brief illness. Although ailing for some time Mrs. Hendryx was not taken seriously ill until about five days ago. Mrs. Hendryx, nee Margaret M. Billings, was born at Rochester, N. Y., on March 22, 1844, and was 77 years of age at the time of her demise. When about one year old she moved with her parents to Allegan county, Michigan. At the age of 17 years she was united in marriage at Ganges, Mich., to Andrew T. Foote, who died from wounds received in action at Nashville, Tenn., in 1863. Two daughters were born to this union. On Nov. 28, 1867, at Laketwon, Mich., she was united in marriage to James G. Hendryx. Ten children were born to this union, of whom nine still survive her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Trinity M.E. church. Interment will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
