The Rev. Richard Gene Anspach, 82, finished his race and entered his eternal reward Thursday morning, July 28, 2011.
He was born in Allen County on July 31, 1928, to the late Clifford D. and Lucille Anspach. He also was preceded in death by son, Timothy Anspach.
He will be greatly missed by the family he leaves behind, including his wife of 61 years, Patricia J. Clay Anspach, residing in Henrico, Va.; sister, Sara Jane Storm of Bellefontaine; son, Michael (Linda) Anspach of Lakeview; daughters, Pamela (Randy) Wright of Franklin, Va., and Cindy Burruss of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Tammi Dyke, Amy Lucy, Laura Moore, Cara Rammell, Tim Wright and Brittney Wright; great-grandchildren, Caleb Lampart, Tyler Lucy, Kaylee Lucy, Seth Moore and Ethan Moore.
He will forever be known as a man of faith, action and compassion, pastoring at 11 churches in Kansas, Ohio, Virginia, Oregon and Florida.
Visitation is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15 C.F. Edwards Lane, Saluda, Va. The Rev. Jerry Leibert officiates a graveside service with military honors at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Philippi Memorial Gardens, Deltaville, Va.
