Anna Mae "Ann" Butler, 96, of Duncansville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday. She was born in Westover, Clearfield County, daughter of the late Benjamin and Della Roland Peters Butler.

Ann is survived by a special great-niece, Donna Reynolds, and her husband, Raymond; also by great-nieces, Tammy Brochetti and Cecelia Kraweski; great-great-nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jessie A. Wolfe; a niece, Verna Marie Kraweski; a nephew; Howard "Howdy" Wolfe; a great-niece, Gail Ann Coffman; a great-nephew, Roger Kanouff; her grandparents, Millard and Annie Roland; her uncle, Calvin Roland; and many great-uncles.

Ann was a graduate of Westover High School, class of 1942, and a 1948 graduate of Penn State University Altoona Campus, with an associate degree in accounting. She was also a state certified real estate agent and retired in 1987 as head of the Sales Service Department of Warnaco Knitwear, formerly Puritan Sportswear, after 45 years of service. She was also a bookkeeper for Dorothy McCullough's Tax Service.

Ann was a member of the Altoona Business and Professional Women's Club serving as treasurer and finance chair, and where she was the first recipient to receive the member of the year award presented by the club. She was a volunteer at Garvey Manor Nursing Home. Ann enjoyed singing, music, playing guitar, drawing, oil painting, reading, writing poetry, playing pinochle, traveling and Broadway plays. She has been a member of St. James Lutheran Church since 1942.

At Ann's request, there will be no viewing or services. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. Interment will take place in the Baptist Church Cemetery, Westover. Memorial contributions in Ann's memory may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 1407 Eighth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602; or to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
