Edward C. O'Neil, 86, of the Levering area, died June 17, 1993, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan.
Funeral was today, June 21, at the Nordman Funeral Home in Cheboygan. The Rev. Wilbert Hegener officiated. Burial was in Carp Lake Cemetery.
Mr. O'Neil was born Oct. 15, 1906, in Red Lake Falls, Minn., the son of Edwin and Eva (Casavan) O'Neil.
He married Martha Ennion on Oct. 12, 1926, in Billerica, Mass.
Mr. O'Neil was employed for several years with H&D of Petoskey, and then for Fochtman Motor Co. for several years. He then became self-employed owning a shop in the Levering area where he did auto repair.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; three sons, Edward, James and Raymond, all of Levering; 10 daughters, Mrs. John (Peggy) Warren of Petoskey, Mrs. Lorraine Kenville of Port Charlotte, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Dennis of Pontiac, Mrs. Dale (Jean) Reberg of Petoskey, Thelma Williams of Petoskey, Mrs. William (Eileen) Blackburn of Juneau, Alaska, Mrs. James (Mary) Freese of Caro, Alice Taber of Troy, Mrs. James (Betty) Brown of Groton, Mass., and Mrs. Sid (Cathy) Maglothin of Harbor Springs; 41 grandchildren; 33 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs.
Robert (Vile) Lewis of Boynton Beach, Fla., Mrs. Tom (Ceil) Horgan of West Port; Conn., and Mrs. James (Clara) Kramrie of Lansing, and Pearl of Boynton Beach. He was preceded in death by a son, David; and two brothers, Wallace and Harvey.
