MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.
This is to Certify, That on the 21st day of January 1901 the RITES OF MATRIMONY were legally solemnized by me between Jessie Joseph Mattingly and Mary Lizzie Lucas at Raywick in the County of Marion. Ky. in the presence of James Alvey & Mary Prudence Lucas. Signatures, James Alvey, X his mark, Mary Prudence Lucas.

CHICAGO - In fond and loving memory of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mattingly, wife of Mr. Jesse Mattingly, who died at her home here of typhoid fever Saturday morning, July 9, 1910. She leaves a husband and three children, and also three brothers, Curtis, Edward and Roscoe Lucas, to mourn her loss. Mrs. Mattingly was before her marriage, Miss Mary Elizabeth Lucas, daughter of the late John Lucas. She was a member of the Roman Catholic church and died fortified by all its rites. The funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at St. Francis' church in the presence of a host of relatives and friends by Rev. N. Werner, after which the remains were laid to rest in St. Francis' cemetery. The heart of the writer goes out in truest sympathy for all the sorrowing friends. May God grant them strength to bear their sorrow.
