June (nee Kraushaar) Allmon, 73, of Jackson, MO, died at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Christian Kraushaar. She married Charles Inman, son of Ellis and Era (nee Stout) Inman of Batchtown, IL in 1958. June later married Jim Allmon of Jackson, MO in 1997.

She was an 18-year cancer survivor. She graduated from Jersey Community High School in 1955. She was the first female licensed by the Coast Guard to pilot a ferryboat and ran the Tower Rock Ferry in Wittenburg, MO for many years. June retired from Proctor and Gamble after 25 years of employment, and also had an avid love for quilting.

Surviving include three sons, Keith of Cochrane, WI, David of Jackson, MO, and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Gary of Frederick, MD; a brother, George (wife Martha) of Jerseyville, IL; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Visitation was held Jan. 8 in Jackson, MO. Internment will take place at a later date in the family plot.
