Funeral services for John Hazzard Bragg, 85, 304 Rural Acres Drive, will be conducted by the Rev. William Ice at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace
Chapel. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Thayer.
Bragg died in a local nursing home at 5 a.m. Sunday following an extended illness.
Born March 2, 1890, at Thayer, he was a son of the late William H. and Georgia Biggers Bragg and was a member of the Christian Church of Beckley.
He was a retired farmer and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Esta Bragg.
Survivors include a brother, Frank, Green Sulphur Springs and two sisters, Mrs. Velma McNeil, Beckley, and Mrs. Lelian Bowyer, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
