David Durbin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Durbin was born March 22, 1852 and departed this life August 9, 1918, aged 66 years, 4 months and 18 days. The deceased was united in marriage to Miss Lucy F. Barnett in 1879 and seven children were born of the union; six of whom with the beloved wife survive to mourn his loss. Mr. Durbin was a member of the south Wheeling Baptist church for a number of years and died in the faith of his master, passing beyond to await the coming of the aged wife and devoted children. The funeral services were held on Sunday in the South Wheeling Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. E. G. Fisher, of Cameron, W. Va., and the remains were laid to rest in the Durbin cemetery.
