Obit: The Daily Tribune April 1981
Vivian Fay Golightly, 88 of Bay Villa Nursing Home died at Matagorda General Hospital March 31, 1981. She was born June 15, 1892 in Dennison, TX. Fay was a long time resident of Bay City coming here in the early 1900's with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Baxter Wren Golightly when he was called to minister to the First Christian Church. Fay will be remembered as a nurse to Dr. B. L. Livengood whom she assisted for 40 years. She was a faithful and acitve member of the First Christian Church in Bay City, having taught Sunday School as well as serving on committees and participating in all church functions. Survivors include: nieces and nephews, Margaret Bently, Robert B. Hill,Jr., Sara Frances Lewis, Geraldine Lewis, Doris Fowler, Mariannne Hartness, Sara Nell Brown, Charlotte Graham, Winnifred Knight, Jane Miller, Vivian Arnone, Rita Griffin and James Embrey and many friends. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church April 2 with Rev. Orin Smith, Interim Pastor of First Christian Church. Interment at Cedarvale Cemetery.
