CARL HESTER DIES AT 60
Carl R. Hester, 60, Rolling Ridge Addition, R.R.2, Shelbyville, died today at 7:22 a.m. at Major Hospital, where he had been a patient eight days. He had been in failing health several months.
A lifelong resident of Shelby county, Mr. Hester was superintendent of Indiana Gravel Division of Concrete Products, Inc. here.
Mr. Hester was born in Union township August 28, 1914, the son of Carey and Norma (Harris) Hester. On January 14, 1939, he married Letha Yantiss, who survives.
Also surviving are his father of R.R.1, Milroy; a daughter Mrs. James (Judith) Schulthies, R.R. 6, Shelbyville; one granddaughter; and a sister and four brothers, Mrs. Wayne (Hilda) DeBaun, Indianapolis, Wendell R. Hester, R.R.1, Milroy, Jasper L. Hester, Shelbyville, Raymond E. Hester, Lutz, Florida, and Richard D. Hester, R.R.1, Needham.
A son Brian Hester, and two sisters preceded in death.
Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Carmony Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
