They divorced about 1930. Uncle Elwin married Lavada Blackwell in 1932. They had two children who lived to adulthood, John Albert Edwards, and Lela Faye Edwards.
Uncle Elwin was a farmer, rancher, mechanic and all-round jack of all trades. He spent his last years in Andrews, TX where he and Lavada are buried.
