Maggie was born to Joseph 'Jo' Allen and Frances (nee White) in Allen County, OH. She married Welcome Blue Wimer 9 Nov 1865 in Circleville, Pickaway, OH after he returned form the Civil War. To this union were born three girls: Mary Katherine, Rebecca Jennie and Sarah Frances. The Wimers then moved about 40 miles east to Brookfield, Linn County, Missouri in 1871. In 1873, the family was in Cowley County, KS and was listed in the 1875 Kansas Board of Agriculture Census in Rock Creek Township, Cowley, KS. They lived in several other locations before the family moved from Grand Summit to Sharon in Barber County, Kansas sometime in early 1893. They then participated in the Cherokee Strip Land Run on September 16, 1893 and claimed 160 acres in the Cherokee Outlet. The real estate is now described as the Northwest quarter of Section 30, Township 28, Range 9, Woods County, Oklahoma. The real estate is located six miles east and five miles north of Alva, OK; they also managed a Hotel in Alva, OK for a time. "Welk" as Welcome was known, died in 1907 in Alva, Woods, OK. Maggie lived until 1931, She died in Oklahoma City, OK.
