Angelena M. Santini Leonard, 90, of San Luis Obispo died Sunday, Jan.31, 1988, in an Auburn hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Auburn. Burial will take place on Wednesday at the Old Mission Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Leonard was born Feb.22, 1897, in Ticino, Switzerland. She came to San Luis Obispo County with her family when she was five years old. Following her husband's death in 1930, she worked at San Luis Obispo General Hospital, primarily in the obstetrics ward, for 40 years. She was a member of the Women of Woodcraft Lodge for many years. She has lived in Auburn for the past few years.
She is preceded in death by a son, Joseph "Mickey" Leonard in 1963.
She is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Tognazzinni of San Luis Obispo and Ethyl Blackwell of Van Nuys; one brother, Guido Santini of Pismo Beach; one daughter, Nell Keever of Auburn, six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
