Their five children were: Louise Harrison (b. 1848), Willie (b. 1851), Alice Oswald (b. 1853), Emma (b.1855), and Annie (b.1860) Balfour.
Their antebellum mansion in Vicksburg, Mississippi, "Balfour House", is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
