Maintenance crew member who was the single fatality in the 62-story tall First Interstate Bank (today's Aon Center) Fire of Wednesday evening, May 4th, 1988 in downtown L.A., when the elevator he boarded traveled to the 12th floor where the flames raged. The building, at the time, was the highest skyscraper west of the Mississippi River and the worst highrise fire in L.A.
