Goldie A. Allen, 62, wife of Charles W. Allen, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon shortly after becoming ill at the family residence, 4601 S. Walnut.
She was born in Dunkirk and came to Muncie as a child. She attended Blaine and McKinley schools.
Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two brothers, John McDowell, Muncie, and Lloyd McDowell, Fremont, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Msgr. E.A. Schweier will celebrate the mass of the Resurrection in St. Lawrence Church at 1 p.m. Saturdfay. Interment will follow in Bronnenberg Cemetery near Chesterfield.
Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and until noon Saturday. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
