Virginia B. Pillow Reeves
[On Thursday, May 30th, as twilight was sending its peaceful shadows over the earth, the spirit of Mrs. Jennie Pillow Reeves, 58, departed this life. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Elkton, She was a patient devoted wife and mother and friendly, helpful neighbor. #Funeral services were held at the home Friday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. R. A. Johns and Rev. S. R. Braicher. Burial followed in Moriah cemetery. Nephews of the deceased served as pall bearers. #She is survived by her husband, eight children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are her mother, six sisters, and two brothers.]

Note: Virginia Pillow Reeves' mother was Sam Ella Cashion Pillow; her six sisters were Emma Lee Pillow Dotson, Cora Mae Pillow Brown, Dezzie Beatrice Pillow Martin, Mabel Clara Pillow Tidwell, Eva Pillow, and Willie Blanche Pillow Englett; her two brothers were 'Charlie Milton' Pillow (took on the name 'Sam Cashion' since he strongly resembled his grandfather) and Roy Mitchell Pillow.
