Sandra J. Watson, 69, of Aurora, Il. passed away at home peacefully August 12 of an extended illness with her family at her side. She was a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School, Triton College, and U of I at Chicago, receiving her degree in Nursing. Sandra was a fourth generation nurse who dedicated herself to caring for family, friends and the community. She was a certified emergency nurse at West Suburban Hospital until her retirement in 1999. She was a lifelong supporter of the Brookfield Zoo, Shedd Aquarium and other Chicago museums. She was a loyal, trusted and devoted friend and mentor to many and enjoyed travel and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Vivian Jackson. She was fondly remembered at services on Saturday, August 20 at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society , 225 N. Michigan Ave, Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60601.
