11 Feb 1955 - Funeral services for Ernest B. Rhodes, age 42, who died Feb. 4, in a Minden hospital from injuries following an automobile accident between Sibley and Doyline, were conducted at Fort Jesup Baptist church at 2 p.m. Feb. 5, with Rev. Jimmie Tharpe officiating. Interment was in Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Ernest Rhodes; sons, Ernest and Richard; daughters, Glynda Faye and Delois, all of Fort Jesup; mother, Mrs. J. H. Rhodes, of Fort Jesup; brothers, Johnny of Many, Horace of Doyline, Roy of Houghton, Elmer of Shreveport, Chester of Houghton; sisters, Mrs. Wilson Flenniken of Fort Jesup, Mrs. Amos Austin of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ira Williams of Mobile, Ala.

Pallbearers: Morris Stoker, Evie Stoker, C. A. Rhodes, Ralph Russell, James Cotton and Lester Williams.
