Funeral Services for Mrs. Maudine Pettis Thomas, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 15, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Eddy Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Greer Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Thomas was born on March 11, 1925 in Searcy, MS and passed away on August 13, 2011 in West Monroe, LA. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, sewing and fishing. Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her, husband, Erwin Thomas; daughter, Rita Lovell #17198646; grandson, Donny Caskey and her brother, J.C. Pettis.
Survivors include her children, Ernest Thornhill and wife, Vera, Gary Thornhill and wife, Debra, Mark Duck and wife, Kim and Punkie McNair and husband, Dickie; grandchildren, Matthew Thornhill and wife, Jessica, Jeremy Thornhill and wife, Brittney, Lee Thornhill and wife, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, William Thomas Pettis; sister, Kathryn Summers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thomas' grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
