Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Pearl Pearce, 90, of 3500 Park St., will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel with Rev. Tim Walker officiating.

Burial will be at Tidwell Cemetery with Sammy Ellis, Weldon Bennett, Burl Curtis, Roland Wilmaon (sic), Anthony Mulkey and Mickey Money serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Pearce died at 7:20 p.m. Monday at Citizens General Hospital. She was born on Nov. 2, 1887, in Hunt County to James Elbert and Mary Ellen Quattlebaum Spoonomore. She married John Wylie Pearce on Oct. 25, 1911, at Greenville. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wilma J. Bennett, Greenville; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Gilliant, Dallas; three grandchildren, Mrs. Linda Oaks, Green Mountain, Colo., Mrs. Sherry Mulkey, Mesquite, and Don Bennett, Grapevine; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 7, 1938, her parents, a daughter, Mrs. Lanell Bennett, one infant, four sisters and four brothers.

Arrangements are being handled by Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home.
