Bonita Harshaw, age 52, of Glenwood, Ia., passed away on Thursday, June 20, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, Ne., after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 24, at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.

Bonita Mae Harshaw was born on Sept. 4, 1943, the daughter of Forest and Roena Dady. She graduated in 1961 from Avoca High School. She married Steven Harshaw on April 19, 1983. Steve and Bonnie lived in Glenwood, Ia.

Bonnie worked at the Glenwood State School for the past 25 years and cared for handicapped children most all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four-year-old sister, Sheila.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Harshaw, son; Herb Stahl and his wife Lora of Omaha, Ne., three grandchildren; Michaela Mae, Cassandra Lee and Hannah Geradine Stahl, all of Omaha, Ne., her brother; Vilas Dady of Spokane, Wash., her mother and father-in-law; George and Fran Harshaw of Red Oak, and sister-in-law; Sue Nelson and her husband Wayne of Carolton, Ga., nieces and nephews, Kirk and Holly Dady, Kathy Kirk and Sarah and Jeff Nelson.
