Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of West Long Branch. Mr. DeLeonardo was a 1986 graduate of Shore Regional High School and a 1991 graduate of Monmouth University, West Long Branch, where he served on the student government.
He was a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and served as resident counsel at Kensington Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Toms River. He was the recipient of the Silver Congressional Award. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch.
Mr. DeLeonardo was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose D'Adamo DeLeonardo.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph DeLeonardo; three sisters, Victoria DeLeonardo, Christine DeLeonardo and Patricia DeLeonardo, all of West Long Branch; and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
