Retired Editor Dies in St. Pete
ST. PETERSBURG — Samuel Grady Damron, retired managing editor of the Charleston (W Va) Daily Mail, died Sunday night at his St. Petersburg home.
He was 72.
Damron had been in good health and Sunday drove to the home of a son-in-law, Samuel Stickney, in Brandon Fla., to visit.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, a daughter, and a half-sister.
Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday in St. Petersburg.
