John Cashman, 81, Green Bay, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at a local nursing home. He was born on Nov. 29, 1929, in Green Bay, Wis., to the late Charles and Mary (Lobas) Cashman.

On July 22, 1951, he married Kathleen Sinclair in Green Bay; she preceded him in death in 1995. He married Maxine Cayce on Nov. 6, 1999. He had been employed at Wisconsin Public service for over 40 years and was very instrumental on starting up the Kewaunee Nuclear plant. Some things John enjoyed doing were woodworking, gardening, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; and his two children, Matthew (Melissa) Cashman, Laura (David) Klarkowski; granddaughter, Alexis Cashman; four step grandchildren, Greg (Julie), Brian (Sue), Scott, Sean Cayce, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald.

Friends may call Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida street, where a Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
