Clifford D. Toftum, 57, died yesterday at his home, 1500 5th St., South, Bemidji. Funeral services will be held at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Luther Abrahamson officiating. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. today. Another service will be held at the VanLueven Chapel in Columbia Falls, Mont. Friday Sept. 20, 1974. Interment is to be in the Woodland Cemetery in Columbia Falls.

Mr. Toftum was born on April 3, 1917, in Bemidji to Ole and Annie Toftum. He was raised in Bemidji and moved to Columbia Falls in 1947 where he worked with a lumber company. On March 7, 1937 he was united in marriage to Dolores Ott in Bemidji. In 1970 he returned to Bemidji where he had a trucking line.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Clifford Jr., (Bud) and Ole of Bemidji; two daughters Mrs. Dale (Shriley) Reynolds, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Herzog, both of Columbia Falls; five brothers, Wilford, Blaine, Raymond, Lester and Leslie, all of Bemidji; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schroth of Columbia Falls, and Mrs. Dave (Amy) Roberts of Redding, CA.; and 10 grandchildren.
