Passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009, in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Canton on April 11, 1925 to the late Joseph and Martha Richards. Mary was employed at Cathy Cowgill Flowers for 10 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed going camping, but loved being a mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McLaughlin in 2000; and a son-in-law, Rodney Brott. Survivors include three sons, Larry (Lee Ann) McLaughlin of Canton, Charles (Betty) McLaughlin of Louisville, OH and Terrance McLaughlin of Canton; a daughter, Sharon Brott of Cincinnati, OH; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Richards; and two sisters, Betty Jones and Beverly Atkins all of Canton. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with Pastor Denny Hazen officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
