Mrs. Denis Flagler
Fort Benton--Mrs. Mary Ellen Flagler, 94, died at a local hospital after an illness of about ten days.
Services will be conducted at the Benton Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. Flagler was born April 14, 1865, at Cairo, New York. She came to the Stanford area in 1892 and was married to Denis W. Flagler at Great Falls Nov. 15, 1894. They moved to Steel (now Geraldine) in 1894 and in 1909 took up a homestead on Nine Mile Flat between Highwood and Fort Benton. He retired and they moved to Fort Benton in 1935. He died here in 1955.
Mrs. Flagler was a member of the Eastern Star, Methodist Church and Women's Club of Fort Benton.
She is survived by two sisters in New York state; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Birkeland, Fort Benton; a son, John C., Seattle; and 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
