Emil W. Selle, 90, of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, formerly of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. The Rev. A.T. Degner will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Selle was born Jan. 23, 1882, in the Town of Newton, son of the late William and Marie Baryenbruch Selle. He farmed in the Town of Newton all his life. He married Frieda Wegner May 11, 1907, at St. John Church, Newtonburg. His wife preceded him in death Aug. 1, 1938.

Survivors include two sons, Edmund, of Valders and Alfred, of Rt. 1, Valders, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Vogt, of Manitowoc, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday and then at the church until the time of services.
