Her daughter, Theresa and son-in-law Connie McCormick of Auburn, survive her along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nanny", Jamie McCormick and his children Abigale Marie and Austin Taylor of Auburn, and Hudson McCormick and his wife Whitney of Eureka, California. One sister, Barbara Hubbard of Boaz, and one brother, Fred Dooley formally of Albertville, and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews also survive her.
Preceding her death were her parents Claud & Jewell Dooley of Crossville, one sister, Louise Tidwell, two brothers, Willard Dooley and John Dooley, her daughter, Theresa's father, Curtis Glen Moredock and a great grandson, Curtis Dale McCormick.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2PM until 4PM on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Mt. Flat Baptist Church in the Rodentown Community. Immediately following visitation, a graveside memorial service will be held in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in honor of Claudia be made to the Oak Park Auxiliary at 1365 Gatewood Drive, Auburn, Alabama where she was fondly called "Miss Sassy."
